On Shabbat morning, as Israelis got ready to celebrate the Chag, the residents of the cities and towns near the Gaza Strip were thrown into an abysmal nightmare. Malevolent Hamas terrorists infiltrated their neighborhoods and homes—thousands of unimaginable scenes in hundreds of houses of cold-blooded mass killings. Innocent residents are evacuated from their homes after intense hand-to-hand battles. Some of them have played dead for hours. Others hid in garbage cans or closets while they waited for the gunshots to stop. As the blood of their loved ones stains the walls, carpets, and furniture, they quietly depart from their cherished homes. They flee their once-upon-a-lifetime-ago haven with nothing but their bloodstained clothing. They have no food, no home, no clothes, no basic necessities, and no money. They leave behind once secure happy memories, peace of mind, and unburied dead and kidnapped family, friends, and neighbors.
Babies need Pampers, baby clothes, and pacifiers. The old and sick need their medications and basic supplies. They all need clothing and food, pillows and blankets. Schoolchildren need toys, games, books, and therapy to help them overcome this living nightmare.
While the Hamas sub humans brag about the carnage and go on wild shopping sprees with the stolen credit cards of the unfortunate victims, thousands of evacuees are left penniless, impoverished, destitute…

Hamas’s terrorists are posting photos and WhatsApp clips to boast and brag about their horrific bloodbath on Israel. They are also using this as a form of psychological warfare against Israeli citizens. Among the photos being circulated one can see dozens of Israelis captured by Hamas’s terrorists and imprisoned in the Gaza Strip. Eli Bibis grandfather of two kidnapped babies shared his feelings of helplessness and crushing fear with reporters Anat Davidov, Udi Segal and Tal Lev Ram at 103FM.
Have the authorities been in contact with you questioned Anat Davidov as she started the painful conversation. “Nothing, nothing, we didn’t get any calls from anyone. Wherever I am asked for details, we gave all the details and there has yet to be an official authority to pick up the phone and say ‘we hear you’, anything, an encouraging word. There’s no information, There are pictures of my daughter -in-law and grandchildren, one is an eight-month-old baby on the net, I am completely shattered… broken to bits.”
Brokenheartedly he shared the dreadful minutes when he saw the photo of his daughter-in-law and grandchildren captured by Hamas terrorists. She’s holding them with both her hands. I have no idea of what they are doing to her. Who can fathom the torture that they are going thru now. Who knows how they are being treated. Ther is no one to talk to nobody in the higher uppers are picking up the phone. Nothing… The response of the IDF to this whole situation has been delayed From the minute this whole thing started the IDF’s response is something that is incomprehensible what happened to our army. Just unfathomable. Her parents were also kidnapped. There’s no information. The whole family was kidnapped.”
“There’s the video that’s circulating on TV, you can see them looting the grocery, that’s how this nightmare started. It starts with burning cars, and you can see clearly how t the Hamas terrorists crawl into the house thru a window. At that moment, he wrote to me and his mother, ‘I love you,’ and the connection was cut off. I don’t know what to do, I don’t know what to do,” he cried
The first video I saw of my daughter-in-law and grandchildren came from someone from England, a friend sent us a video that was shown on Al Jazeera. This is the sign of life that we saw of the family since the outbreak of the war.

Bezalel Talia, who lost his mother and enlisted in Order 8 to fight Operation Iron Swords, recounted the horrific moments of helplessness and frantic worry until he found his mother’s bullet-ridden body in an interview on Galei Zahal Israeli Army radio station. “I knew something terrible was going on in the area. I couldn’t believe it was happening. My sister was in a maternity ward in Assuta Hospital, so my mother went to take care of her three children at her home in Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha; my sister called me and asked, “What is going on? There is no army, nothing, nothing. I deliberated for a few minutes and then asked a friend to come to my house and keep my family safe. My brother and I gathered some equipment and drove down to see what was happening with my sister’s family.
My sister sobbed hysterically that Ima wasn’t picking up the phone. At a junction about 10 kilometers from Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha, my brother and I came upon the bodies of a soldier and a terrorist. My sister called again frantically to warn us about the danger in the area, terrorists were out and about, and they were specifically targeting Israeli vehicles she screamed. We drove down into a wadi and began the final leg of our trek on foot, about 11 a.m. Not a single soldier was in sight. We arrived at the Kibbutz at 1:30 in the afternoon and were the first outside help to come at there. We went out in search of my mother. We had no doubts that we’d be able to track her down…. We were sure we would find her…. And then we saw a bullet-riddled body … my mother. They sprayed her whole body with bullets.
Betzalel continued his painful narrative. My mother came to Israel alone…I want as many people as possible to attend her funeral and pay her last respects. We are at war now with a horrific enemy. I was drafted. The Hamas terrorist who killed my mother doesn’t care if she fasted on Yom Kippur. It makes no difference to him if she is pro-judicial reform or against it. He killed her because She is Jewish. We must stand together united as one nation in unity, Am Yisrael, don’t lose hope. We are strong we will prevail.
Uriel Bilitzki is a well-known lawyer in the city of Lod,
As a public person who deals with the incredible tapestry of the Israeli people, He deals with the many social strata of Israeli society. He understands and values the ideal of mutual support and solidarity among all the hues of the beautiful mosaic of our nation.
In response to the heartbreaking news and horrific videos we have all witnessed over the past few days, he founded the Embrace Israel Campaign.
In his communal role as a lawyer, he has vast experience dealing with many families who have lost immediate family members due to terror attacks or while protecting our beloved country from those seeking to annihilate Jews. He understands the need to provide both material and emotional support.
The weight of suffering is lessened when a bereaved family realizes they are not alone, and caring individuals give them hope, support, and encouragement during their dark, struggling moments.
In the current horrendous war, thousands of Jews have been killed and injured. This past Shabbat and Chag, Hamas terrorists destroyed the lives of thousands of families forever. Mr. Bilitzki Adv. met many evacuees who have come to the city of Lod and spoke to survivors. He understands that in this dire situation, Am Yisrael, as a united people, must rally and support the families of the injured, dead, hostages, and those still missing. We must envelop them in love and cocoon their hardships with care so they can gather the shards of their lives and rebuild themselves with strength.
During this horrific time, we must extend a hand to our heroic soldiers in the IDF as well and shower them with our care and concern so that they can come home from this war victorious and secure in the knowledge that Jews across the world are standing behind them as they fight a battle for our nation’s existence.
Am Yisrael Chai
